Green Key Certificate

The Green Key is an international standard for business in the tourism and leisure industry, and for meeting and conference venues, for which sustainability plays an important role.

The Green Key guarantees the voluntary commitment of the company, more than legislation requires of him. It is a tool to communicate the sustainable image of the company to guests, business partners and governments.

To qualify for the Green Key many entrepreneurs must take action on environmental and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). These measures are partly compulsory and partly optional.

Next to the measures taken in the Golden Tulip Apple Park itself (e.g. rentable bicycles and electric scooters and measures to decline our use of electricity), is that the hotel aims to contribute to the environment by selecting its suppliers according to their will to participate in a better environment. Because of our environmental interested food en beverage suppliers, it is e.g. possible to order nature-friendly drinks and food in our hotel. Another example is, that the hotel linen and towels are washed by a company with a special interest in the environment. By this measures, the hotel hopes to contribute to a better environment, also outside the hotel.

We are proud to announce that as of August 1st 2011, Golden Tulip Apple Park has achieved the Green Key!
